Héctor Velasco Perroni

Héctor is the founder of Perroni & Associates and has more than 15 years experience as an attorney specialized in environmental law.

He has published studies on carbon markets and REDD+ and presented in international conferences including the 17th Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Durban, South Africa. Academically, Héctor taught Environmental Law at ITAM for ten years and currently directs a summer workshop at IUC in Playa del Carmen.

 

Over his career, Héctor has counseled numerous high-profile infrastructure projects, including a 250 mile long coast-to-coast natural gas pipeline project to be developed by Mexico’s largest hydrocarbon company. He has also led the Environmental Law practice area for several international firms like Greenberg Traurig and Holland & Knight.

Since 2012, Héctor has been ranked by top publications like Chambers and Partners, Legal 500 and Latin Lawyer amongst the top environmental lawyers in Mexico.
